Hillside Cemetery looking for a grave
Hi
Recently I recieved this article about my relative. I have been told by a Kerr Mortuary in Alturas, Ca that Mr Ryan used to bury a lot of people at the Hillside Cemetery in Bieber.
I am wondering if perhaps someone near that cemtery would be so kind as to see if William Haffner is buried there. I am almost certain he would be buried near his home, as it appears he and his wife had little money, the death certificate says all fees were charged to a Jame Ryan. They were just waiting for removal of the body . It does not say to where or name a cemetery.
Also
in 1951 when this article refers to " the housing project" does that mean what it would today, some one is very poor , yet this man is driving a Chrysler New Yorker??
I would really appreciate soemone helping me by pointing me in the right direction and seeing if he is at Hillside Cemetery and what became of Annette Haffner , his wife.
Thanks so very much
