Andrew Jackson possibly Moore married to Rose

I have recently found that my great great grandmother was named Rose/Rosa last name unknown but appears to be Rose/Roso/Ross/Rosa. According to my great grandmother Birdie's death cert she was Rose Rose and the father was listed as Andrew Jackson. We are assuming his last name may have been Moore, or she was married more than once.
According to two death certificates, my grandmother and my great aunt.
1)Birdie born Dec 1, 1880.
According to the marriage license she was Birdie Moore and Married William Conn/Cahn September 21, 1898 and had a son Adrian Stewart Conn (Ace/Acie/Asy) born November 15, 1898. Ace later married Gladys Helen Worsham of Nebraska, they had a daughter Dorothy Ruth Conn who was born in 1926. Ace went on to marry Irene Lewis in 1968.
Birdie then married George Edward Allen (b Jan 9, 1880) on Dec 10, 1904 in Los Angeles County CA and they had 4 daughters. Juliette A. Allen June 16, 1905 who changed her name in adulthood to Ruth Juliette Allen who married John Garfield McLean. They had several children. Mildred Bernice Allen 1912 was the 2nd daughter who married a Purkey and had two sons. The 3rd daughter was Thelma Isabelle 1914 was the next daughter. She was institutionalized in 1929 and then later married a Purkey. The fourth daughter Georgia Lee Allen was born Oct 1917, she had a few marriages but only has one daughter Carole Lee Wood who married Moe Kennedy.
2) Charles Moore was born in 1882 and was living with Rosa Moore in the 1900 census (she can only be found on the census when you type in Basa or Bosh, but family has always called her Rosa Lee. When you look at the handwriting on the census you can definitely see it could be Rose/Rosa.
3) I have a great aunt named Lucy Amy who was born to Rose Moore on Feb 27, 1885 in Lake County, California. Her death cert indicates unknown for mother and unknown Moore for father.
Lucy Moore married George Amy on Dec 10, 1904 at the same time her sister Birdie married George Allen.
Lucy and George had 4 children (Wendell, Elwin, Kathleen and Patsy/Patricia E.) Wendell and Elwin were institutionalized in 1930 and ended up on the same census as "inmates" of the institution as Thelma Isabell Allen.
4) The fourth child listed on the 1900 census with Rosa was Jenny Moore.
They are all listed as Indian and family history has alwasy said Rose was possibly Modoc. Rose is listed as divorced and it also states she had a total of 9 children, 6 of which were living at that time.
We wonder if she were married before Mr. Moore, possibly to an Andrew Jackson and if so, who and who were the children. Or if she were with Moore the entire time, when and where did they get married and what tribe is she or are they from?
Any help would be greatly appreciated

The 1880 US census for Lakeport, Lake Co., California has Kate Brag, widow with children Arthur, Hecktor, and Alex. The childrens' father was born in Kentucky. Kate was born in Nova Scotia. She had a sister Jessie, widow BEACH, living with her. Does anyone have info on this family? I'm particularly interested in Kate and Jessie's maiden name and names of their husbands.

can anyone tell me how to locate the Benjamin Hoover and John P Davis farms, Lower Lake, Township 2, during the 1900 census? My husband's grandfather and his brother were living with those 2 families for a short period of time. Both were listed as farm laborers and the brother also was a student. We'll be in the area in 2 weeks(from Tenn, hard to research) and would like to visit if we can narrow it down. What about school records for that time period? Thanks much, Barbara Houck

I am trying to locate an obituary or death record for Charles DANBROOK, d. 16 January 1976 at last address Clearlake, Lake Co, Calif., SSN 551-30-0693. Charles was born in 30 Nov 1885 in Perth County, Ontario, Canada. Any information on his immigration, descendants, etc. are wanted for a Danbrook (N America) name study. He had two wives, Lena ??, and Esther ?? Esther was b. 17 June 1897 and d. 25 June 1984 at last address Sacramento. Both are buried at Lower Lake Cem, Lake Co, CA. Info on Esther (an obit) would be great too, SSN 546-74-9489. Lena is probably a longshot. Location within the Cemetery: 2nd Addition Block 115 N.N.W. 1/8.
If anyone is going out to that cemetery, I would welcome a photo of the gravestone. Thanks, Carol
1930 Census shows an Indiana born William S. Ferguson, a lumber yard assistant, married to Margaret of Colorado, with four CA born young kids, Billy, Phillip, Allen and Jimmy. I believe this family is related to me through the Spencer County, Indiana Ferguson siblings of William's father, Philip Sheridan (Sherd) Ferguson, who was married to Emma Norton. I'd like to make contact with living descendants and ascertain if this branch is connected to me. How about a marriage lookup in Lake County around 1922-23?

Redwood Journal
Wednesday, February 19, 1930

COPSEY KILLED IN LAKE COUNTY FEUD GUN DUEL

Land Quarrel Results In Death Of Pioneer

A long smouldering quarrel over a bit of land blazed into a gun duel Monday at Lower Lake and resulted in the death of Weed Copsey, 80, member of a pioneer family.

After firing the fatal shot, Manuel Sensibaugh, 70 years old, walked to Lakeport and gave himself up to Sheriff Lon Kelly. He is being held at the Lake county jail on open charges, pending an investigation by Sheriff Kelly and District Attorney Howard Crawford.

Copsey is well-known in this region and is a cousin of Charles and Plea Copsey of Ukiah.

"He drew on me and I shot him in seIf-defense." was Sensibaugh's statement to Sheriff Kelly when he gave himself up.

According to the story told by Sensibaugh, the two men had quarreled for years over a parcel of land, often having wordy battles..

Monday, Copsey came over again, Sensibaugh said, and another quarrel ensued. According to Sensibaugh, Copsey drew a revolver in the course at the quarrel and fired a shot. Sensibaugh returned the shot with another from his rifle, the bullet piercing Copsey's heart.

Hi, I am looking for any information on CLARISSA L. MURCH,
born in Vermont in 1829, father from Vermont and mother from Mass. She was a widow and a book agent according to the 1900 cesus. The 1900 census, Lake County, listed her as a boarder living with Dwitt Clinton Rumsey and his wife in Lakeport. CLARISSA L.MURCH bought and sold several parcels of land in Lake County which was purchased at tax auctions from 1888 thru 1900. It is stated that she was a resident of San Francisco in 1887 when she sold a parcel of land in Lake County. Land sold after this date states that she was a resident of Lakeport. She was not on the 1910 census, nor can I find her death. The 1900 census is the one and only time that I have found CLARISSA L. MURCH on the census in California. I believe her to be my g grandmother. I hope someone can help with this MURCH mystery that I have been researching for 16 years.
One Gus Langeberg is said to have lived in Lake Co., CA. Information on Ancestry.com lists his death as 3 Apr 1964 in Lake Co. Other information says he was a builder/contractor. I have a photo of his home in the '50s that sits out over Clear Lake.

I would be interested in an obituary if someone would be so kind as to do a look up for me. Thank you.
Does anyone have a suggestion on how to obtain an obituary in Lake County? The library idea doesn't work as one needs a password to access the library and there is no e-mail address for them. I am trying to locate an obit for James Wilson, who died in Clearlake Oaks, Feb. 10, 2003. I am trying to find out if he is my mother's cousin from Michigan. Suggestions are greatly appreciated.

It is for a Nawanna Marsh who died Apr 12, 1991.

Also I am looking for her sister in Lakeport named Elizabeth Vanderhaar, born 1919, and was living in Lakeport in 1991. She may have gone to a nursing home or just be unlisted.

Need OBITS: Charles E. BALL d 22 Jan 1955; his dau, Della O. STEVENSON d 7 Nov 1987 both in Kelseyville, CA

I found on the California Death Index and SSDI that Charles Edward BALL died 22 Jun 1955 in Kelseyville, Lake co, Calif at the age of 81 and his daughter, Della Omelia (BALL) STEVENSON also died there. Della was born 17 or 18 Jan 1899 <in Custer co, NE?> and she died 7 Nov 1989 at age 90 in Kelseyville, Lake co, Calif. I also found at ssdi that Charles and Sila's son, William Henry BALL died 2 Dec 1998 in Nampa, Canyon co, ID at the age of 95. He was born 11 Apr 1903 < in Custer co, NE?>. Charles Edward BALL and Sila Dell LAMPMAN of Custer co, Nebraska had 7 children: Mrs. Ruby (Ball) SHEPPARD, Mrs. Della Otelia (Ball) DAVENPORT -STEVENSON of Kelseyville, Lake co, Calif.; William Henry Ball of Nampa, Canyon Co, Idaho; and Ray Oliver, Theodore, Hester Alice & Thomas James BALL. I am searching for information about all of their children. James Alexander BALL was the father of Charles Edward BALL. James A. BALL was born 28 Nov 1838 in Wilkes co, NC amd he married Hester Ann JONES. Their son Charles Edward BALL b 1 Aug 1873 in Monroe co, Iowa who married Silala (Sila) Dell LAMPMAN with whom he had 6 or 7 children. After Sila died Charles E. BALL married 26 Oct 1916 Ruby HALL with whom he had a son James Alexander BALL born 30 May 1924 in Stockwell, Neb. The son, James A. Ball est 1945 Alice Lorraine JENSEN and he died 13 May 1995 in Denver, Colorado. I also found online that Della O. BALL married 1st 10 Jun 1922 Solomon Avery DAVENPORT b 26 Jan 1896 -he died in 1922 near Bailey, Park co, Colorado - so they apparently weren't married long. He was a mechanist in WWI and is buried at Horn Cemetery, near Bailey, Park co, CO. Please contact me: Mary K. Ward, 1432 Yeardley Drive, Richmond, VA 23225-2906; ph: 804-232-9338
