Life-Long Resident Succumbs in Home

Ella Margaret [Briscoe] Matlick, Owens Valley resident for 57 years, died in her Bishop home June 27.
The Rev. J. Hackett Johnson of First Presbyterian Church officiated at the service held for Mrs. Matlick Monday morning, July 1 at Talmage Chapel. Interment was at the family plot in Pioneer Cemetery.
Pall bearers included Darrell Knowlton, Clifford Jones, Leland Varney, Claude Walborn, Alfred Shelly and Ken Johnson.
Mrs. Matlick was born Dec. 30, 1890 in Trail, Ore. She is survived by a son, Stan Matlick, Bishop; two grandchildren, Robert and Margaret Matlick of Bishop and several nieces and nephews.
