A copy of the GREAT REGISTER of 1866-1872 can be ordered from the INYO County Courthouse in Independence and it lists
all the registerd male voters in Lone Pine. I think it costs me about 15 cents per page for the copies.
Unfortunately they are not listed by the town but rather for the entire county, using the last name. It would be fairly easy to go through though and pick them out and this would give you a place to start with the surnames. I also have a copy of an article that was published soon after the earthquake and will read through it. Hope this helps you out in some way and God bless.
