Pastel yellows and greens were the colors chosen by Natasha Cleone Empe of Fort Bragg when she became the bride of Michael Allen Denton on August 30 at the First Presbyterian church at Fort Bragg. Natasha is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Michael Empe, and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Eric Denton of Garberville.

The couple repeated their double-ring vows before the Rev. Terry Cole. The church was decorated by Mrs. Samuel Paul with yellow-throated gladioli, white stock and chrysanthemums. Pale green bows circled the baskets holding the flowers.

Ann Mitchell was organist and Byran Fairlee, vocalist for the 2 p.m. nuptials.

The bride chose a full-length gown, made empire style of peau de soie, satin trimmed with Italian lace embroidered on the hem and train. Her short veil was attached to a crown of seed pearls and she carried a bouquet of spider chrysanthemums. She wore a necklace of pearls a gift from her father. Her gown was made by her mother who also made the gowns of the women attendants.

Matron of honor was Mrs. Raymond Hayes, sister of the bride. Her dress was fashioned on empire line of pale green peau de soie satin with yellow daisies embroidered on the empire waist. Her accessories also were yellow and she had a crown of yellow and white daisies with green veil. She carried white daisies.

The bride's other attendants were Nina Empe, sister of the bride; Cynthia Denton, sister of the groom; and Mrs. Dennis Hyman, cousin of the groom. They were dressed like the maid of honor and they carried yellow daisies. Little Jennifer Smith of South San Francisco was flower girl. She wore a dress of yellow dotted Swiss with a halo of daises.

Loren Pannecost of Garberville was best man. The ushers were Raymond Hayes, brother-in-law of the bride; Dennis Hyman, cousin of the bride; and Kenneth Denton, Garberville, brother of the groom.

The reception hall was decorated in the same colors carried out in the church decorations. The cake, decorated by Mrs. Emmet Granskog, was done white with yellow roses and pale green leaves. It was served by Mrs. Wayne Sousa, cousin of the bride. Two aunts of the bride, Mrs. Jack Hyman and Mrs. Frank Tamborini, served punch. Others assisting were Mrs. Margaret Cauckwell, Mrs. James G1eason, and other friends and relatives.

The couple went on a wedding trip along the coast, the bride wearing a pink crepe two piece dress with a black picture hat and accessories and a corsage of green orchids. The couple is now residing in San Luis Obispo where the bridegroom will attend college at Cal Poly.

The bride is a graduate of Fort Bragg high school in 1962 and from Santa Rosa Junior High College last June where she was a member, of Beta Chi social sorority. The bridegroom is a graduate of Garberville high school, class of 1961 and is majoring in industrial engineering and mathematics in college.

Wedding guests included some from Ukiah, Garberville, Monterey, Vallejo, South San Francisco, and many from the Fort Bragg area.
