Hello , my name is Kyle , and i am the great great grandson of Henry Chadbourne . Henry was a mixed race child , part white , part wailakki indian . Native of humboldt . Born May 1875 , died the winter of 1904 from phnemonia .[ His parents were Levi, born Apr 1834, and Hannah , an indian with no known birth date , Chadbourne .] He and wife Dora Sutherland Chadbourne , born Jan 1881 ,had two boys , David [ my great gramps ] and Edward . I was told that at the time of his death they had a small home somewhere outside of fortbragg area . He was a young stubborn man that started out with a case of the flue and was told by his doctor to stay inside and kept warm until it passed . But being the man he was he never listened . He loved to play either a fiddle or violin on the porch of their cottage where he could see the water . This in turn made him even sicker . And he unfortunately lost his life . He was buried in the Briceland area where most our family at the time homesteaded . Dora then married again Mr Thurman and had girls Ida and Leona , and another nicknamed Tudy . I have the picture of Dora And all her kids in my home . The only pic of Henry known to be is one of him as a school boy . Which i have a copy of as well . I cant find find the date of Henry's death . My mom has it on the family tree , she just cant find it since she moved . But if she does ill put it on here ! Wish i could tell ya more . But im only 35 and am still learning and studying this myself . The only sources left are my grandma and her brother , where i got this story from . Hope thi helps if you havent found out already .
