This is a little late but I thought I would try. My grandfather was Jack Lopopolo and my great grandfather was John Lopopolo. My Great Grandfather JOhn actually started Lopopolo Olive Oil in Fresno California. My grandfather Jack took over from my Great Grandfather and was the last to own Lopopolo Olive OIl. THe factory was on the corner of Whitesbridge and Fruit across from Chandler Airfield. My mother is Jeanette Lopopolo and is the only child of Jack Lopopolo. Lawrence Wages born March 17 1901 in Johnson Co., Arkansas and died September 1975 in San Miguel, California. His parents are William and Amanda Nucholls Wages.

They had 3 children that I know of. Wanda Faye, Freda and Veda.

I would like an obit, a date of death and where buried for the following two persons:

John Thomas Strain (aka Thomas)
He was born in Indiana to William W. Strain and unknown in Indiana (?) Dec 1863. Don't know when he died.

Elizabeth (Maria Elizabeth) Smith born in Indiana to Joel and Martha Ann Miller Smith. I don't know when she died either.

Thomas and Elizabeth were married in Grant County, Indiana on 12 Sep 1892.

I see them on the 1900 Census in Grant County, Indiana but no the 1910 Census. I found Thomas in the 1920 Census as an inmate San Joaquin, Ca.

I do not know if Elizabeth died as "Strian" or if she married again, which was possible.

They had a son Fay Strain b 4 Jul 1895 (Indiana) and died in Fresno, Ca. on 22 Nov 1976. Maybe his obit would mention his parents - per chance?

Peter Rasmussen Family Info Wanted

I am trying to find out more about the brother of my great great grandmother and I have found one family in Fresno County that is a probably match. I would like to find a death date for Peter to help confirm whether or not this is indeed the family I am look for. Any other information on this family would be greatly appreciated.

Peter Rasmussen born 9 Nov 1848 in Slagelse, Søro, Denmark emigrated from Nørager, Randers, Denmark to the United States in 1871. It said his destination was Iowa. He was a shoemaker. His parents were: Rasmus Larsen and Maren Cathrine Pedersdatter. I have found a family in the 1900, 1910 and 1920 censuses living in Fresno County that is a very good fit.

1900 Township 5, Fresno, CA Peter and Anna married 1883 children: Louis, Malfred, Agnus, Hazel and Kenneth

1910 Township 16, Fresno, CA Peter and Anna children: Kenneth, Francis and Evelyn

1920 Selma, Fresno, CA Peter, Anna and children Francis and Evelyn

I do not find Peter in the 1930 census so believe he died between 1920 and 1930 presumably in Selma
