Nov. 28, 1919-April 22, 2008
Pearl Frances Leventon (known as Bea to family and friends) of Shingle Springs, Calif., passed away peacefully on April 22, 2008.
Pearl was born Nov. 28, 1919, to James and Edith Plummer in San Francisco, Calif. As a child, she lived in Gallup, N.M., Tennant, and Galt, Calif.
In 1940, she married Eugene (Gene) Leventon and moved to Grizzly Flat, Calif. In 1942, Pearl and Gene moved to Shingle Springs, Calif. It was here that she raised their family with love, discipline and laughter.
Pearl was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, and her daughter, Sharon Evans.
Pearl is survived by her daughter, Jeanette Proctor of Shingle Springs; three grandchildren, Lisa Myatt (Michael Spears), Eric Divine (Gina) and Tiffany Divine; four great grandchildren; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, all whom were blessed by her loving and comforting spirit. She will be missed forever.
Funeral services will be held at the Chapel of the Pines in Placerville on Saturday, April 26, 2008, at 2 p.m., followed by a reception at the Federated Church in Placerville. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to a charity of the donor's choice in Pearl's memory.
