Hi. My husband's ancestor, Theophile Julien Saunier, lived in New Orleans.His son,Theophile Jules Alexandre, was born in 1842. The mother was Marie Arsene Soyer. I can't find a wedding certificate. Maybe they weren't married or else "Soyer" could have been a misprint of Saunier.
I have had no luck in trying to get further back than this.I have been trying to find out just where in France they came from.
Theophile Julien died in 1860 In New Orleans.
I am contacting you on the offchance you have some information .
