Did you ever figure out where the cemetary was located? It could be on the highway 12 side instead of the hwy 26 corridor? I will ask a neighbor who grew up over near Stone Corral if he knows anything about that.

The Kirk family cemetery is on private property and is now in San Joaquin County. It is near the Stone Corral Church on Highway 26. The owners of the property only allow family members to view the cemetery. I do have a list of who is buried there if you want to let me know the name you are checking on.

You can email the Calaveras County Archives at Calaverasarchives@att.net
They charge $10 an hour for research and 25 cents a copy for each page plus postage. Since you know the boxes the probates are in the research time will be minimal.
There are also land patents for several Kirks in Calaveras County. Andrew, John S.; John T. ; John W. and George Kirk all had land patents. You can pay the archivist to research this for you or you might be able to find them on a BLM website if you do a search.
