I am currently researching Lunleau Elizabeth Taylor b. abt 1886 (?) married to John Henry Airola in Calaveras Co. They had a daughter Venus May who married Russell Lagomarsino. I am interested in:

Lunleau Elizabeth Taylor: Parents, grandparents and so forth. Lunleau's race/ethnicity and verification of first name spelling.

Russell Lagomarsino: Mother is Albina last name?, parents, so forth. Russell's father name, grandparents, so forth.

I only heard of Russel Lagomarsino from my father, but Venus was my 1st cousin, my father's (Marvin E. Taylor Sr.)niece. John Henry Airolla (uncle Jack) married my dad's oldest sister, her name was Lerlene (bad spelling, but it sounds like it), not Lunleau.

Frank David Lagomarsino 2/2/1878-10/24/1935 suicide by drowning, married Albina Buchello on 8/3/1911.
Frank’s parents were Peter Lagomarsino born in Italy and Teresa Dondero also born in Italy. His grandparents were Antonio Dondero and his wife Theresa, both born in Chavari, Italy.
Frank David Lagomarsino and his wife Albina Buchello had 3 children:
1. Russell Henry Lagomarsino born 12/10/1911 and died 12/22/1993 in Stanislaus Co, CA. Russell married Venus May Airola (3/2/1914-3/31/1979) on 3/10/1932. Russell and Venus had 2 children: Marlene Lorraine born 11/27/1934 and Russell Dean born 7/9/1937. Russell and Venus divorced and he married on 8/9/1941 to Hazel Francis. Venus married again also, to Eugene Rossetti 1/1942. Venus and Eugene Rossetti divorced 1/21/1970.
2. Melvin Earl Lagomarsino born 8/23/1914 and died 3/29/1916
3. Albina Lagomarsino 5/3/1929 who was stillborn.
Frank and Albina divorced and Albina married Frank Carey Miller (12/19/1875 Mass.- 5/19/1941 Angels Camp, CA) on 2/27/1938 when she was 44 and he was 59. After Frank died Albina Buchello Lagomarsino Miller married a man named Carl Haas who was born in Germany, and she died 1/28/1986 in San Andreas, CA under the last name of Haas.
Lurline Elizabeth Taylor 1/5/1896 CA-3/5/1960 San Jose, CA, married John Henry Airola (1/12/1890-5/6/1975 San Andreas, CA) on 9/15/1915. They had 3 children:
1. Venus May Airola 3/2/1914-3/31/1960
2. Wilma “Billie” Laverne Airola born 11/21/1917. Wilma married Oliver Thurston O’Connor Sr. They had at least one child, Oliver Thurston O’Connor Jr. born 9/22/1939
3. Jacqueline Lee Airola 12/12/1933-11/23/1997. Jacqueline married Alton Callahan on 4/18/1956 and they had 2 children: 1. Laurie Lee Callahan . 2. Patricia Lynn Callahan
John Henry Airola’s parents were Augustine Joseph Airola and Malinda Yokum and his fraternal randparents were Caroline Figaro and Manuello Airola both born in Italy. His siblings were Manual Airola 6/13/1888-11251925; Venus Mae Airola 7/1891-1903; Augustine J. Airola Jr. 10/11/1893-6/18/1967; Myrtle L. Airola 10/9/1895-5/18/1981 who married James T. Oneto; Dewey George Airola 12/17/1897-7/17/1968 whose wife was Alice H. ??. He and Alice divorced 9/4/1953.; Susie Airola who shows in the 1900 census as 4 months old by does not show in later census records; Hazel Mae Airola 1/16/1901-12/20/1996 who married James Basil Revolino. (I have wondered is Hazel and Susie are the same person with Hazel’s DOB being shown a year off).
Lurline Elizabeth Taylors parents were Gabriel North Taylor 11/7/1865 Santa Cruz, CA-11/8/1938 Carson Hill, CA, and Elizabeth Gertrude Frazier 5/28/1874 Murphys, CA- 12/31/1934 Carson Hill, CA. Gabriel and Elizabeth had the following children:

3. Mrs. Ed McCormick (Ed McCormick married Martha Taylor)
4. Mrs. Lynwood Connor
5. Algerine Taylor Porter ( Rube Porter)

(The children’s names were taken from the parents obits)
Elizabeth Gertrude Frazier’s mother was Annie Loomis 10/21/1857 Mokelumne Hill, CA-1/23/1919 Murphys, CA and her father was either Isaiah or Joseph Frazier. (the marriage record says Isaiah but the obit says Joseph). They married on 1/16/1875. Isaiah was born 1/13/1834 Butler Co, PA and died 10/23/1929 Angels Camp,CA.
Annie Loomis’s parents were Harriet Antonia ?? who apparently was married to James Loomis and had 3 children with him: James S. , Eliza G.; and Anna. She later married Joseph Navas and had more children with him and their family lived in the Murphys area.
The 1860 census for Calaveras Co. shows Harriet Loomis age 25, head of household, washerwoman, born in Leon living in Mokelumne Hill with James S. age 7, Eliza G. age 5, Anna age 3, Castillo Navas age 1, Joseph Navas age 24. About 7 houses down from them lives James Loomis age 30, born in NY, a miner living alone with 4 men.
Death record for Calaveras Co.: Anna Frazier, born 10/21/1857 in Moke Hill, died 1/23/1919 in Murphys, Mother unnamed but born in Central America; Father James Loomas.(note spelling is off)
Where Harriet Loomis was before 1860 is a mystery and where she and James got married and divorced is also a mystery. Records for early Calaveras Co. are often missing since the county seat was moved from Double Springs to Jackson to Mokelumne Hill and then to San Andreas plus deaths etc were often not registered. I tried to find the son James Loomis but with no luck and without knowing what happened to the other child Eliza we will not be able to find her. She was not living with her mother by 1870 so may have died or married young.
