Roberta -
Yes, I would LOVE a copy of the picture - I feel a real kinship with Josiah and his family and have not found any pictures yet, so thank you!
Any ideas on how I could prove that Josiah also came from Sithney Parish? It seems that a lot of Cornish tin miners came to the area, of course, but Josiah became a Justice of the Peace and land owner - in fact, from his will, it seems that he owned a lot of land. I can find he and his family in the census records, but it looks like all of his children died before he did. His daughter Annie is the only one mentioned in the will, and she also died before he did. Do you know anything about the family? All of my information has come from piecing together vital record type information. I don't have anything personal about them at all, and would love to flesh out the details.
I have just begun developing an interest in Cornwall because my TRELEASE line (Thomas TRELEASE married Annie GUNDRY) also comes from there. I am trying to finish up all of my lines to the immigrant ancestor, and then follow them back to Germany, Russia, Cornwall, etc. Any pointers you could give would be appreciated - I noticed your email address, and it looks like you know more than a little about Cornwall! Thanks, Cindy
