My great-aunt Alice (pronounced uh-lease) Plasse sold a house on North Main Street in Jackson for $400 to Guiseppi and Teresa Dal Porto who razed the building and constructed the California Hotel on the premises. The hotel was destroyed by fire in 1927.

I don't know if these Dal Portos are any relation to yours, but I do know there are Dal Portos still living in Jackson. You could probably call information for their phone numbers.
