I am looking for my families history. My father was Walter J Lucas b. in 1915 in Amador County. His family farmed and he did win a few rodeos. Any help would be appreciated.

I belive he was born in ione. I think my grandmothers maiden name was Vinetta, I have three different spellings.
I was told her family owned a large farm in the Stockton area.

I will keep my eye out for that name when I am at the Ione Cemetery on the 20th, of this month. If you can think of the other spellings, please let me know. Here is my email,

I found my Grandfather and Grandmother's graves in Lockeford, Ca a few years back.

Eloise M Lucas 1888-1961

My great grandfather was Christopher C Lucas born in Illinois in 1862
My Great grandmother was Cecelia E Fifield of Illinois born 1847.

I am still looking for two half brothers from my father, Walter J Lucas' previous marriage who were born in the Stockton/Lodi area. They must have been born in the 50s? I don't have any information on them, any help would be great.

I remember Esther Lucas and her sister. One was in my parents class at Ione High School. I would have to look into their materials for more information. I remember they had a brother named Walther. Are we talking about the same family?

Yes it is. My father was Walter and he had 4 sisters- Loise, Esther, Elsie, Ardith and a brother Lionel.
