I am trying to find the marriage for Christopher Columbus Carpenter and Mrs. Mary E. Jones. I think they married in Yell Co. between 1862 and 1865. He had been married before and so had she. Her first husband Benjamin C. Jones is thought to have died in the early months of 1862. In 1870 she is living with Carpenter in Conway Co. He has one child that is his and the Jones children, Isora, Georgia, Smith and Rebecca are with them using the Carpenter name. There is a male child that is most like his son that looks as if the name is Asesy. This child is 12 and cannot be one of the Jones children. I am fairly sure the son James M. Carpenter is the son of C.C. and Mary. He lives in the same area as the other siblings his entire life. The daughter Isora is not found again and Martha the baby in 1870 seems to have died before 1880 as she is not listed with the family in 1880 in Clay Co. Any help with finding the marriage of these individuals or any other info on the family would be greatly appreciated.
