S. J. Binning (Benning)

Need help in finding info on a S. J. Binning (Benning). He was married to a Launia Rhoads, 13 Mar 1933, White Co. AR., divorce Lavina 11 Oct 1937 White Co., AR., and also divorce Georgie 10 Oct 1938 White Co., AR. This is all the info I have come to find on this man, nothing else. Is their anyone kin to him that could share info with me? Or can anyone else help me to find info on this man. S. J. Binning had a son by Launia and he doesn't know anything either. Would like to find out something. Any help would be appreciated, thanks Carolyn

Rueben Scrivner may be related to the Andrew Jackson Nelson who lived in Kolona Clark Co.,Arkansas listed in 1880 census. This Nelson was the grandson of Elizabeth Scrivner and Armstead Owens of Salisbury Rowan Co.,N.C. around 1790.I am researching this Nelson as a possible brother to my John Nelson . Elizabeth was born in 1770 in Pa. I know that they had relatives in Alabama ,Estill Co.,Ky., and Greene Co.,Tn.

Isabell “Jane” Tirrell, 93, of Searcy, formerly of Phoenix, Ariz., passed away Thursday, April 23, 2009 at her home. Born May 31, 1915 to the late Charles and Adelaide Simpson Price, she was a member of Trinity Episcopalian Church, lifetime member of The Humane Society, and a supporter of the Special Olympics. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, a special lady in many ways.

Knight family of Arkansas

My Knight line comes from Arkansas:

Sarah Knight widowed(1838-1930) shows up on the 1910 Jackson Co. Census stating that she had 8 children, 6 living. Living with her are sons James-widowed (1878-1911) and Edward (b.1888...her birth or his must be incorrect because I doubt she had a child at age 50). Two grandchildren are also listed as Sarah (1903-1953) and "Liga" (assuming both to be James' children).

Sarah and Elijah (1899-1994) show up again with their grandmother Sarah on the 1920 White Co. Arkansas census. On each side of them live Wiley Goad and Lewis Goad families. These are relatives also. Elijah also registered for the WWI draft and died in White County Arkansas.

Looking for gravesite of William James Craven in White County.

According to my records William James Craven, born about 1844 in Tippah, Mississippi died between 1880 and 1883 in White county. I have searched all the transcribed cemeteries listed on the White County section of the argenweb.net site and I cannot find him. According to the 1880 census they were living in Jackson Township. I also am looking for the gravesite of his wife Sarah Isabelle Trentham. She married Amos Riley Parks Joyner after Willam died, so she probably is buried under the Joyner name. I have her death in about 1903, also in White county. Thanks for any help you can give.

Hi,
The MATTHEWS is my line on my grandmothers side of the family.
Lillie "Ruby" Marie MATTHEWS is the daughter of Otis M. MATTHEWS.
Otis M. MATTHEWS is the son of James Phillip MATTHEWS and 1st wife Gilla Ann CLEVENGER.
My grandmother is named Fannie Elzora (Matthews) ROGERS she is the daughter of James Phillip MATTHEWS and his 2nd wife named Minnie LANE.
I have been trying now for years to find out all the info on the children of James Phillip MATTHEWS.
I have that Lillie "Ruby" Marie MATTHEWS was married twice 1st to Doyle MULHERIN and 2nd to Charles Woodrow "Woody" KING.
Can you give me any dates for her and her husbands? I have the death info on Doyle MULHERIN and where he is buried and don't know about her.

Need help please with an obit for Mrs. Sarah "Sallie" ROGERS died November 12, 1930 she died at home in At home in Searcy, White County, Arkansas. Her last husband was Hiram Franklin ROGERS he died before 1930. I am trying to find out where they are buried at.
Mrs. Sarah "Sallie" ROGERS was married before she married ROGERS to John B. CRESON.
I have tried to find her children hoping someone knows where she and Hiram are buried, but so far no luck. ;( I have been posting for years.

Seeking information and obituaries on John Radcliff and his wife Martha (Mattie) E Radcliff. Mattie's maiden name is Cullom. They were born in Illinois and moved to Arkansas in the 1910's. John died December 08, 1929 in or near Bald Knob, White Co., Arkansas. Martha (Mattie) died July 07, 1932 in or near Bald Knob, White Co., Arkansas. They had six children three sons and three daughter according to the U S census.
John and Martha are buried in Shady Grove Cemetery, Bald Knob, White Co., Arkansas.

I am researching the Knight family in White County Arkansas. I know from my grandmother (now passed) that they connect to the Goad family, but we are not sure how. The 1920 census shows the Wiley Goad family living on one side of my ggg grandmother Sarah Knight and Lewis Goad on the other. Wiley Goad has a servent in his household, William Penner, who is my great grandfatehr. I would love to find out more about these connections.

I am seeking info. on James A. Knight (1878-1911) and his family. Family history states that our Knight line were Creek Indians. I know that James' mother was Sarah J. (1838-1930). I believe she was born & died in Arkansas. Sarah had 8 children 6 were still living in 1910. James had at least one child who was named Sarah Elizabeth (1903-1953). She married Samuel William Penner in Arkansas (1920). Sarah E. and her father James (widowed) were living in Jackson County Arkansas with Sarah J. in 1910 along with Sarah J.'s younger son Edward Knight and a grandson "Liga" Knight. Sarah E. and "Elijah" show up on 1920 census still living with their grandmother Sarah J. Knight in White County Arkansas. Goad families live on both sides of them and are related also. Francis Marion Yarbrough Family in White County

Looking for any information on the Yarbrough family liveing in White county. Francis M Yarbrough purchaced 80 acres 1 Mar 1855 in what appears now to be Beebe Ark. He apparently died there in 1867, I have a copy of the Administrator's Bond from the White County court house dated 9 Dec 1867 to have his sons settle the estate. I can not find where or when he was buried, or exact date of his death. Any information will be greatly appreciated.

You need to be checking White County and you are in luck because a most all of their records are on the internet.
So check their first.
Or write to the White County Historical Society and when the quarterly newsletter comes out, they will run it for you, if you ask nicely. Write to Po Box 537, Searcy, Arkansas 72143.
Per chance you want a researcher, I can suggest a good one.

P. S. More than likely the Vaughn was part of the family that was out of North Carolina originally. There were two parts of the Vaughn family in Pulaski County, some around Little Rock and then their cousins at Jacksonville. I know that because my g grandmother was a Vaughn from Little Rock.

She does research for a donation to the museum building fund.
She researches White and Prairie County all the time which is the counties you are interested in.

I have that Melissa F. HANEY married James S. SKEETERS (also found as SKEETS) 10 Oct 1850 Limestone Co., AL. They are in Limestone Co., AL in 1850; White Co., AR in 1860. Not yet found in 1870. She is undoubtedly a sister of Harper HANEY who was living in White Co., AR in 1880 and whose stepdaughter Nancy G. MORGAN had married Melissa's son Wesley SKEETERS (SKEETS) in 1876. I have not found Elias CANADY and Melissa in 1880 yet.

John A. Anderson's first wife was actually Althea Pettigrew in Monroe Co. TN where John A.'s first son, Hugh, was born. He married Wealthy Warren either there or in Haywood Co. TN. His third marriage was to Susan Smith from MS. I think that Susan Smith Anderson married Mr. Booth after John A. Anderson died in 1889. She was b. in 1846 and she was 48 years old when she married Mr. Booth. That's the way I have it. Eva Walker Myer

children Una A. E. b July 1879, maybe a Kate born c1880,

c1902, White Co. (7-8 children), and possibly a Morris Yoast
