I am a descendent of James Yows and Elizabeth Miller. I believe they were married in Washington County' about 1843 or 1844 but have not been able to find their marriage date. James Yows father was Jacob Yows. Do not know his mother's name. Elizabeth's parents were John Miller and Mary (Polly) Roberts. YOWS could have been spelled YOES and later changed to YOWS.
