On January 28, 1921 Jeff Shannon stated that he was a member of Company B, Second Regiment, Standwatty's (sic) army during the Civil War. He was a resident of Washington County, Arkansas at the time of his statement. The statement was in support of a pension claim for a fellow soldier.
