While a student at Texas Tech, I and a classmate named Kenneth Kettle met two young women in Lubbock in the early summer of 1955. They said they were from Strong, Arkansas and were probably high school freshmen or sophmores but I don't really remember their classification(s) and worse, don't remember their names. We spent the afternoon showing them what there was to see in Lubbock and parted company with them about dark. We don't remember their names or what they were doing in Lubbock and have never seen or heard of them again but I have never forgotten them. I went on to Medical School in Galveston that summer. I am seventy-four now and guess that they would be between seventy and seventy-two or three if they are still alive. having wondered about them all these years, this summer I placed ads in The Lubbock Avalanche Journal and The Eldorado News Times trying to find them to no avail. I also tried to get information about them from the schools in Lubbock (Thinking they might have transferred there) and from The Strong Public Schools but neither of them responded to my inquiry. I would really like to know their names, if they are still alive, how they are and if they have had good lives, nothing more. If any reader knows of them or is one of them I would appreciate any word of any kind.
Respectfully,
Kenneth R. Fannin, M.D., FACS(Ret.)
