Classification: Query
Surnames: Roberson, Jones, Hardin
Seeking information on the Roberson family who moved to Union County in late 1840's - early 1850's.
Traditional family history shows William (Henry) Roberson with at least 1 brother, John. John had children who included John, Chris & "Nannie". Another source indicated that James, John & Henry were brothers and lived in Union County AR.
John C. Roberson of Union Co AR may fit that description. He had other children than those named above and a daughter Nancy who could have been nicknamed "Nannie".
Land Records show James, John & Henry had land located near each other. 1860 Census shows James with son James age 26 living next to John age 21.
1850 Hardeman TN Census shows the 2 James and John at correct ages to be the same family in the same household.
The challenge: Henry died before the 1860 census and was no longer living at home in 1850, having gotten married in 1847.
Do these individuals actually connect? Is anyone working on the Robersons of Union County?
Any speculations, ideas, assistance welcome.
