Mrs. Bobbie J. Gillison, age 70, of Pocahontas, Ill., died on Saturday, Sept. 13, 2003, at Anna Henry Nursing Home in Edwardsville, Illinois.
Mrs. Gillison, the daughter of Walter and Jimel French Simmons, was born June 21, 1933, in Forrest City. She is survived by her husband, Harold T. Gillison of Pocahontas, Ill.; two sons, Harold G. Gillison of Springfield, Mo., and Terry Plocher of Highland, Ill.; two daughters, Brenda McIlroy and Judy Watkins, both of Granite City, Ill.; 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Gillison was preceded in death by a brother, James Simmons; a sister, Maxine Harris and two grandsons.
Visitation for Mrs. Gillison will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2003, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary in Fairview Heights, Illinois. Graveside funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2003, at 1 p.m. at Salem Cemetery in Salem.
