Am researching Rachels family mostly located in Greenwood, Arkansas. Most of the family are buried in Liberty Cemetery in Greenwood. Am especially interested in James Rachels Sr. 1888=1925, his parents and their parents before them. They were suppose to be from Alabama. Any information very helpful. My name is Gregory Bodenhamer. I live in Westminster, CA. I was born in Santa Ana, California on December 19, 1943, and adopted three days letter by John and Elaine Bodenhamer. My Dad died in 1981, my Mom in 2007. Shortly after my mother's death I opened up my parent's safety deposit box and found my 1943 adoption papers. My birth mother's name was Matilda Faye Rachels and the birth name on my adoption papers was Gregory Brian Rachels. Your mother is the only Matilda Faye Rachels (a truly unique name) I have been able to locate, and her age at the time of my birth (19 years old) would be consistent with being a young first-time mother. I think there is a high likelyhood that we are siblings.
