My Great-great-great (whew.) Grampa was Alexander Harness born in TN in 1835. He was married to Jane(jennie) Renfrow, who was born 1834. I have exact dates and actually pictures of both of their grave stones if anyone is interested. But now I am stuck. I can't go further. Alexander Harness' his parent were who?? I have found either John Harness from Cambell, TN OR
William Harness from Anderson, TN born in 1818. And maybe married to a Sarah Barnes Born in 1822???? But that would mean she was REALLY young when she had Alexander. Well we are talking 1835!!!

Several Harness researchers have looked for the parents of Alexander "Elec" Harness. Nove have been able to fid them or any trace of Alexander in the 1850 census.

Have some info on Jane "Jennie" Renfroe Harness if anyone is interested.

Alexander was also my ancestor.

Thomas Harness and Rebecca Barnes Harness are misndexed in the 1850 Van Buren County AR census. They are indexed as Harris. Living in the same household is Sarah Barnes age 76.
