My wife, Virginia Napier Ladda is a direct decendent of David and Emilene Sneed Starr. We have some info about this family.
What do you specifically want to know and how are you decended from David and Emilene. Do you have any idea where they might have been married? We suspect it was either in Mo, Ill, or possibly Ohio, where David was born ca 1816. If you answer this email and I don't respond, send an email to my address,

Hi, I have tried to e-mail you directly. Hope you get them. We were wondering if you knew anything about David's parents or siblings. No, we are not sure where David and Emeline were married. We are not in the direct line but in the line of David's sister Serah.

Hi I am not sure if I have any information at all for you. But maybe you can make a connection for me? Here is what little information I have about the Starr family.

My Mother was a Taylor.
Daughter of Ira & Margaret Taylor.
Ira was the son of Jess & Mary Elizabeth Taylor
Mary was the daughter of James Amos & Mary Starr

Mary Starr (the one married to James) had the maiden name of Yandell.

They were all from or around Scott County Arkansas, is this any connection to you? If so I have information on her children and so on. But nothing much on her except

She was born about 1883 she was married to Jess Taylor May 29, 1898 in Logan County Arkansas

They had 13 Children, Last one was born I believe around 1921, but I am told those dates are not correct and she died around 1917. I don't recall my Granpa ever saying Jess remarried.

At any rate, if I can help you. I'd be happy to. Or if you could make that connection, I'd be pleased as pie!

Your Mary Starr was the granddaughter of David Starr. My problem is finding one piece of concrete evidence that this David Starr is the one I'm looking for. I know the one I'm looking for was in Ar. in the 1850's. He is the only one I have found. I appreciate your help.
