For your information, "Pleasant Grove Families (Saline Co., AK), Recollections of a Church, a Cemetery, A Community of the Past," was published by Carolyn Earle Billingsley in 1989 and was available from Saline Research, 270 Midland Rd., Alexander, AR 72002, at that time. Perhaps you can locate a copy in your genealogy library. Perhaps it has been reprinted.

Pleasant Grove is located near Collegeville in Owen Township. It was a small community built around a church and a cemetery whose inhabitants were a tightly-knit group.. Eventually, all these residents were related in some way, per the author. The main families treated are Buntt, Claghorn, Counts, Dodgen, Dunlap, Gantt, Glidewell, Lawrence, Lequieu, McClain, Mettetal, Prillamon, Rowland, Studor, Thomas, Thomason and Turbyfill. Also included are maps of the area, a survey of the cemetery, church membership lists, and excerpts from the community newspaper. Included is much oral history from the descendants of former residents, such as information about unmarked graves from the son of the former Church secretary. Additional dates and facts were obtained from research in census, newspapers, marriage and deed records. The author has performed an invaluable service in preserving the history of this community and its residents before all who knew it were passed on.

I don't have a copy but thought you might like to be aware of it. It seems to contain a lot of interesting surnames.
