Marriage records show that Hamlet F. ALCORN md. Julia Caroline GEE, 28 Mar 1867 in Randolph Co., AR. I suspect that she was the former Julia Caroline BOWEN, who md/1 William GEE, 01 Dec 1858 in Lawrence Co., AR. She and William had only one child before his death in 1861: Martha J. GEE (b. c1859 in Lawrence Co., AR).

It appears that Julia died soon after her second marriage, as Hamet (sic) F. ALCORN md. Jane BETON, 15 Apr 1869 in Randolph County. Are Jane and Loretta (from the 1870 census) the same person, or were there two Hamlet ALCORNs?

I believe Hamlet md/1 Margaret STUBBLEFIELD in 1848.
