Thanks for the additional information. I am not certain about this bit of info I will paass to you, but you may find it helpful in your research. Also, are you related to Rachael? If so, by which marriage?
My cousin Alice mentions this:

"I believe Green Moore shown in NV in 1900 is Rachel's brother. And that he and George W. Finley, Jr.'s half brother, Henry Hand, evidently headed west to find gold. Henry settled in CA. (I have corresponded with one of Henry's descendants.) The census record says Green is widowed but I have not found a record of his family yet."

But,I did find that he is in the 1880 Census in Galena, Lander, Nevada.
