I am looking for information on my 3-great grandfather and his family--James T. MITCHELL. He and his wife (Ellen or Helen LAFFERTY) moved to Pulaski Co. in the 1860's. According to family records, they had 8 children. However, I have only been able to confirm the first 4 children. The oldest, John Andrew, married Nellie Mary CHRISMAN in 1884. I have a few details on her family (including siblings, parents, and grandparents). I believe that I have found a death record for one of John Andrew's brothers (one of the four unconfirmed siblings), but I wish to confirm the family relationship. Supposedly, James T. and Ellen (Helen) died in the mid- to late-1880 (on separate dates). Again, I want to confirm that information. Any information on this family, or on the CHRISMAN line, will be appreciated. Please respond by posting a response or emailing me. I will share any and all information I currently have. Thank you.

Thanks for the response. Unfortunately, I do not have a connection to this Steve MITCHELL. In fact, I do not have a direct family relationship to any Steves on my surname line from present back to 1840 (before that I have little to no information). Sorry that I could not be more help. Good luck in your research.

Steve Mitchell

Do you have a connection to Steve A. Mitchell who was born about 1870 and died December 28, 1923, in Van Buren, Arkansas. Survived by wife Catharina " Katharine" "Katie" Lohmann MITCHELL and two sons, Edgar and William Henry? Thjey may have gone to Pulaski County

i am curious about your mitchell lineage; curious enough to ask who you are related to.
i can tell you i am related to mitchells on my tree, because they would be my uncles, aunts, and cousins.
my mother's sister married a mitchell, Gerald.
i was actually watching the home movies of the family.
Uncle Gerald raised horses in Oklahoma
that is all i can spare for the moment, i am still researching and confirming. so email me back at nanny_cathy@yahoo.com
thanks
catherine wilkinson,
p.s. my mother's sister is Leona Mae Green and the two had some children.
