Is it possible that any of these Parkers are related to Emma Parker, whose father was Thomas Parker b. in 1827 Tenn. Died in Pope County, Arkansas?
Emma was born in 1862 and married Parris Garner Scott. They had five children. It is likely that she died in childbirth or shortly there after following the birth of her last child in 1894. Any information on these Parkers would be greatly appreciated.

Any pictures would be great. I believe at one point in time you had some photographic evidence of Henry Jr or brothers and sisters or further down the Parker line. I would like to compare family resemblances in our extended family. I have a lot of "throwback" genes and I would like to see just how far thrown back I am.

I was told that Silas Reese Parker died in Pope co. Arkansas. His Parker plantation house was still standing as a museum. The ydna test is sorely needed of this branch to see which Family Group they are in. I have tried to find male Parker descendants from this line in Pope co. but have not located any yet.

The Shoptaw's I am related to are from Greene Co., In by way of Bullitt Co., Ky; however, we just discovered that my grandmother may have been born on a riverboat on the Mississippi in 1873 and all we can assume is that ggfather (who was a blacksmith) was heading to Arkansas or coming from there back to Greene Co. There is a William K Shoptaw who was born in Ky and was a blacksmith living in Clark Twp. Pope Co. in 1870. Any info on this family would be helpful. Thank you John

I am researching the Lewis family. Thomas Lewis dob 1805 is gggrandfather. He married Jane Walkingstick and they had several children. One of the children was named James Harrison Lewis. They had a daughter named Jane Lewis that died in her late teens or early 20's. James Harrison married Elizabeth Rosanna "Betty" Allen. Do you have any information on this family. I have found that John Yates lived near them and have been attempting to place Susannah Lewis as Thomas's mother. Please let me know one way or the other.

The information I have is that Nancy was living with Isaac and Delila in Pope County Arkansas in 1870, and that Nancy died in 1870, I have no word on where she is buried. My grandfather is Isaac Bailey who married Gillie Jane Bowman in TX 13 Mar 1881, and in the late 1890s moved the family to Stuart, Hughs, Oklahoma, about the same time Isaac and Delila moved to Mcintosh County OK.I have reason to believe these 2 Isaacs are one in the same. The info I have says Isaac and Delila are buried in Mellett cemetary, McIntosh Co. OK. Do you Have, or do you Know anyone that has a picture of Isaac? so that I can compare it with mine......... By the way I live in Bakersfield CA

Did not find Mary's parents or siblings...
did find the 1880 Pope Ark census with mary with husband Bethel guest and his children.
did find Bethel's parents also

What I did find was where mary a. brown 1832-33 was married to a james Elmore Drye in Monore MO. married 1852
seems James was born 1821-ky but died aug 24-1864

In the 1880 census, Mary Guest shows where she was born in MO.

Could be wrong on this mary and James... just find it wvery interesting the MO state shows up both times, along with the dates for mary a. brown

This is from the early newspaper in Russellvile dated 12/22/1904 - Freeman Notes - J.S. Church Dead. A pall of gloom and general sorrow was cast over this entire community by the announcement of the death of Rev. J.S. Chutch, which took place at the home of his son in Wood, Oklahoma, November 30th, the result of pneumonia fever. Mr. Church has been a resident of this county for some twenty-five years, first locating in Russellville where he remained several years making many warm friends. He then removed to this neighborhood where he continued to reside until about a year since when he removed to Spence, Newton County. He was about sixty years of age a zealous member of the Christian church and for which he had served as pastor for a number of years. He was a member of the Masonic lodge, his membership being with the Cave Creek Lodge. It may be truly said of him he was an upbuilder of every community into which he went. He is survived by a wife and four children, two of the latter being at home with the mother. The bereaved family have the profound sympathy of many friends here and elsewhere.

I checked for an obit for Sarah his wife, but did not find one.

I am from the Tucker/Needham line and show the following information although it does differ at times with what you have posted. Keep in mind I am currently rebuilding my lineage from a computer crash where all the information that was VERIFIED was lost, so all sources have not listed nor re-verified. in Wilson Co., TN (Western Carolina Territory at the time)

(parents of Enoch were William Tucker Sr. b. abt 1751 probably Bristol Parrish NC, d.February 1812 in Randolph Co NC he was m. Abt. 1771 in Guilford or Randolph County, NC to Matilda Coates (Coats) no other info on her in my files.

Enoch Tucker was married December 1808 in NC to a Nancy (possibly Anne) Needham b. 1786 Randolph Co., NC she d. ?? in ?? (I do not have parents listed for Nancy Anne) I assume they were also from the Randolph Co. NC area.

Looking for info on James Shrives B abt 1830. On the 1870 Census he states he was born in OH but I can't find him in the 1840 or 1850 census anywhere. He died in 1880 and is listed in the Mortality Schedule in the US Census (Pope County AR). I am looking for info on his parents...also he was married to a Stacy ______. We do not know her maiden name and cannot find marriage records in AR or OH. Her middle initial was R and we know through tax records for Pope County AR that she was still alive in 1890 but can find nothing further. I have scoured the OH census for 1830/40/50 but can't find even a close match. Can anyone out there help me?

Need Russellville Newspaper Article Lookup, Please - CAPPS 1941

An uncle-by-marriage of mine died in Yell County in 1941. There was something unusual concerning his death, and an article supposedly appeared in the Russellville newspaper about it. His name was William Henry CAPPS, and he died 01 Dec 1941. My aunt's name was Rosie. The story I get is, the children were removed from the home for a while. I'm hoping old issues of the Russellville newspaper are archived in the Russellville Library, and that someone would please see if they can find that article?
