Roger, Peter Hubbard STUBBS died March 15, 1910 per his marker. He died in Conway, Faulkner co, AR & is buried in an early (tho I think still-used & sizeable as I recall it) cemetery in southeast part of Conway - maybe called ?Oak Grove? Cem.
Uncertain whether they lived in Conway or were just visiting their son John who had moved there for better schools - so I've heard. I'm hoping to locate them/her in 1910 census - I expect she (Violet Elizabeth (McVicker)Stubbs returned to Carden Bottom of Yell co where she is buried. Have u ever found a death certificate or obit for her or for her granddau Mattie (Stubbs) Lynch? May I ask source of the (I forgot the day) Aug 1931 death date for Mattie? I wonder if anyone has ever found them in 1870 census? In one account, ?Yell co History?, it's said they first lived in Jefferson co AR before moving to Yell co. Birth of their son Andrew Derrick ca1868/69 is sometimes reported as AR, I think, but maybe also as NC.
Any response greatly appreciated!
