I will try to answer you query. I have just had major surgery and may make typos in my typing. I have left side weakness, but am getting better all the time.

The article you fererred to is concerning the family of Edward Lawrence Pitman. Close to the botttom of it is one paragraph on the STOPE family.

"Joyce born 1842, (Pitman?) married 1858 to Leon Stope born in 1838 son of Troy and Myrtle Stope. They have one child, Kevin born 1959 and they live in Fayetteville, AR."
This article was written by Mrs. Milton Nordin when the first volume of Pope Co History was publidhed in 1979.

Did you mean to type 1800's for the birth dates or are they all 1900's? Also, is the surname Strope in the book or Stope as you typed it?
