I'm looking into a family of Taylors from either Lawrence or Giles county TN. My G.G. Grandfather Harper Shields Taylor was born in Giles county TN according to his Confederate Army discharge. Another source says Lawrence County. Supposedly his parents were Jack and Charity. No idea where or when this Jack died, Charity took her five boys to Pope County Arkansas before the 1860 census. the boys were David, Harper, Andrew, Henry, and Robert. Also, with the service record I received for Harper was mistakenly included one record for an H. (Hezekiah) Taylor from Pope County. If this helps you or you can help me, let me know
