Remains of Mrs. Ernestine Pirtle, who died Monday at Dallas, Tex., were brought to Mena on the Flying Crow Tuesday morning and taken to the Geyer Funeral Home, where burial services were held Tuesday afternoon in the chapel. the Rev. J.M. Gibbs of the First Baptist church was in charge. Interment took place at Dallas cemetery.
Mrs. Pirtle was the widow of Robert Lee Pirtle and was 48 years of age. Most of her life had been spent in Polk county, she moving to Dallas about three years ago. She had been ill only a few months, and her passing occurred at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Opal Horrine, Monday morning. The daughter and a son C.T. Pirtle survive. Mrs. Pirtle was also a sister of John Oliver of Mena.
