I have been researching the Thompsons from poinsett for fifteen years with very little luck. My line is this - Mctilda Nealy married a Thompson possibly a Willie Thompson (the year they married I don't know) but I have been told that her husband died while she was pregnat with my ggrand father Jodie Lee Thompson (b.1882-d.1959) of Harrisburg or Bay Village. This would mean her husband died in 1881 or 1882. The oral history states that Willie? thompson was killed by a train in White Hall. Jodie Thompson married a Lizzie McCracken, thier children were Ben, Willie (Bud), and Maggie Thompson-Ray. Bud or Willie Lee Thompson married Ruth Bonham
This is my father's parents they lived in Chery Valley all their lives, untill they entered a nursing home in Jonesboro, 1985-86
