"I have a Samuel Cheers Sorrells born in Murphysboro, Jackson Co Il .
Samuel m: Elizabeth Jane Loyd (O'Loyd, Lloyd) when they got to CA in 1850.
Elizabeth b:Feb 1836 Greenwood, Sebastian Co, AR.
Unfortunately this is all I have so far, except Elizabeth's parents were William Loyd b.AR and Sarah Price b.Il."
Where did you find the maiden name PRICE for Sarah?
How did you connect Elizabeth to William Loyd & Sarah Price?
My query is about the family of William Loyd & Sarah Price.
Do you have a list of their children? And the source, please.
I have read elswhere about Jemima Loyd-Manley being a daughter of William Loyd & Sarah Price-Loyd-Coker.
cc here:
"William (Loyd) and Sarah (Price) were married in Arkansas in the early to mid 1830's. They had six children: Elizabeth, Jemima,William, John, Thomas and another child born 1848".

"William Loyd died in 1848 in Crawford Co., AR.
William's widow, Sarah PRICE LOYD, married Henry Coker before the 1850 Federal Census was taken.
I have found the Coker family in 1850-1860-1870 census, but there is no mention of Thomas, nor another child born in 1848.
So I figure that the family consisted of Elizabeth, Jemima, William, John.

My connection is [in the 1860 Napa Co., CA census] that Edward / Edwin & Jemima Manley b: c.1837-1838 AR [based on the age listed in the census].are listed in the same household of my Williams & Stubblefield families Which makes me think the Manley family were related to "my" Williams family from AR.
And in that same census further down the page is:
26 131 128 Henry Coker 59 M farmer 1500 GA
27 131 128 Sarah Coker 44? F IL [Price-Loyd?]
28 131 128 John W. Loyd 14 M AR
29 131 128 William Loyd 17 M AR
Any ideas or suggestions are welcome
