My great grand aunt, Martha A. Foster, shows up in the 1880 Pike Co. Census as Martha A. Whisenhunt. She has two little girls, Alice 6yrs., and Fannie 1yr. She is living with the girls and her younger brother (who is listed as Jacob Forester - typical census mess-up) and her mother (listed by maiden name - Sarah Ridge).
The family is living smack in the middle of a bunch of Whisenhunts, including: Mary Jane (45 - widow) and her family; and John J. (50), his wife Margaret (43) and their family.
My assumption is that Martha was married to a Whisenhunt sometime between 1870 and 1880, and that she was widowed.
I think some folks from this same Whisenhunt family have posted here. I'm looking for any information on Martha's husband, Martha's mother, Martha's children, and certainly, Martha herself.
