I'm trying to track down parents of Charles Harry Manda who affirmed on his WWII draft registration card that he was born on Island 68, Mississippi, on 8 Sep 1880. Problem: When I searched for Island 68, I found "Chute of Island 68" on a map, .... in Phillips County, Arkansas.

I want to search for Manda kin, if there are any, in the area around Island 68 in the 1880 census, but I don't whether I should be starting with the Arkansas side of the river (i.e. in Phillips County) or the Mississippi side of the river. Charles Manda apparently believed, in 1942, that he was born on the Mississippi side of the river. Got any recommendations/advice?
