I am looking for anyone with knowledge of the Wells families in Ouachita County in the 1800s. My ancestor's name is Willis Wells and his wife, Jane Wells. I am trying to figure out why Willis is buried in Pace-Smith Cemetery. I assume his wife Jane is as well, but I can't find out who the caretaker is.

I would like to know how Willis came from SC to AR. I know Jane was born in AL, and one of their sons Seaborn was born in GA, but I have no records of them outside of AR.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
