Re: Tennison link in my Hefley roots

Thanks for the response!
From what I've been able to piece together, James "Natty Jim" Hefley (1855-1936) was married to Elizabeth Tennison (1856-?). She was a child of Thomas Jefferson "Tom" Tennison (1873-1939) and Caroline Liles Tennison (???). That information is verifiable, I believe. At the last Hefley reunion at Mt. Judea this year, the word went around that James "Natty Jim" Hefley may not have been the biological offspring of Harve and Adaline (Criner) Hefley. I'm not sure what that really means...orphan brought into the home or a son of another family member. I'd love to get dates or more information about the Harve and Adaline Hefley connection. So, our great-great grandparents are the same. Nice to meet you! My great-grandfather is Thomas Jefferson "Tom" Hefley, married to Lou Eller (Guthrie) Hefley. My grandpa is the late Frederick Joseph Hefley (1911-1988), married to my grandma, the late Hester Hosanna (Foster) Hefley (1906-1984).
Hope your search is successful.
