Seeking more information about the following two Jacksons buried at Shady Grove Cemetery in northern Nevada County, Arkansas (Redland township / community). They were probably also kin to F. C. Butler and Al Loomis of Redland:

CHARLEY JACKSON – born 1869, died about 12-2-1914. (Dates per Cornish Funeral Home records.) (This grave at Shady Grove was not found during cemetery surveys and appears to be unmarked, although it is most likely next to his son Wesley Jackson’s gravesite, which is also unmarked. Charley died of typhoid fever at age 45 (per Dr. Buchanan's funeral home records). His funeral on December 3, 1914 at 4:00 pm was ordered by F. C. Butler and Al Loomis and charged to C. W. Brandon. Charley lived in Rosston (central Nevada County) and was buried at Shady Grove. Charley and his wife Jodie/Joda had a son, Wesley JACKSON, who is also buried at Shady Grove, where Charley and his wife Jodie were listed as members in the circa 1895-1913 period. An additional listing on Shady Grove’s membership at this time was Lena JACKSON, who may be another child of theirs. (Sources: Cornish Funeral Home microfilm records 1914; and “The History of Shady Grove Baptist Church.”)

WESLEY JACKSON – born about 1895, died 5-21-1917. (Dates per obit.) This grave at Shady Grove was not found during cemetery surveys and appears to be unmarked, although it is listed on earlier cemetery records. Wesley's obituary appeared in the May 22, 1917 issue of "The Prescott Daily News". . . “Wesley JACKSON, 22 years of age, died at his home in Georgia township near Mt. Moriah, yesterday. The cause of his death is given as epilepsy. Interment was at Shady Grove cemetery this afternoon at about 4 o’clock. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Jodie JACKSON, two sisters, Mrs. John Fore and Mrs. Chas. Fore, and one brother, all of this county.”

Wesley’s parents were Charles and Jodie JACKSON (per funeral home records), and his father Charley appears to be buried next to him. Wesley’s funeral was ordered by W. L. Honea and charged to F. F. Honea and D. L. Fore of Mt. Moriah rural route. Funeral home death records also confirm he was epileptic and buried at Shady Grove. His parents are listed at Shady Grove Church as members in the circa 1895-1913 period [as Charlie and Joda JACKSON]. An additional listing for Lena JACKSON may denote a sibling. (Sources: Cornish Funeral Home microfilm records 1917; and “The History of Shady Grove Baptist Church”, published 2002.)
