Hi, I have Hatley E. Mitchell b. Aug 3 1911 d. June 10 1941. Son of Robert Lonzo Mitchell and Saphronia E. Ellis (I also have it as Saphronia E Shepard do you know which is correct?). They are in the 1920 Boughton Census:

Robert L. Mitchell, 59, b. Georgia, father and mother born Georgia.
Sapronia E. Mitchell, 37, born Arkansas, father born Missouri, mother born Mississippi.
DeLaughton Mitchell, son 12 born Arkansas
Hattley E Mitchell, son 8 born Arkansas
Ralph G Mitchell, son, 5, born Arkansas
Lela O Mitchell, dau, 2 10/12ths
Therman W Mitchell, son, 7/12

I don't think that this is Hattie. However, they most probably are related. Do you have any more info on this line of Mitchells?

Not my direct line, but Robert L. Mitchell is a half brother to my ggrandfather Tobias B (Bailey) Smith. (Harriet C. Tribble Mitchell Smith and George M. Smith). My other lines in Nevada and Hempstead Co are through Henry Mark McCain. My grandparents were Dee (Bud) Smith and Mattie Lee McCain.
