Matilda Black married M. (Mitchell/Michael) Blasingame 10 Dec 1866 in Monroe County, Arkansas. The 1870, 1880, 1900 censuses have her born in LA 1841-1842. I am seeking information on Matilda's parents. There are families with the Black surname in Arkansas and Louisiana in the 1850s and 1860s, but none seem to have a Matilda near the correct age and birthplace. I am wondering if Matilda may have married previously, and so, had a different maiden name. Any suggestions would be welcomed.
