I have a good photograph of the early school (Year 1916)of Sugar Grove, Logan County, Arkansas. It includes ALL grades of students as well as the teacher/teachers; over 75 children and adults . My father, his brother and sister, (Orville, Sherman and Anna Greenwood) also identified in the photograph by my aunt were their friends, Lem Hise and Roy Wilkins.
This plank-board school of Sugar Grove gives the appearance of being a fairly large building. My scanner is not working or I would put it online for all to see. (If that could be done).

My name is Joyce Friddle, I am a member of the Logan County Historical Society. If you ever get to scan the old school picture, please put it on line so we can get a copy for the Society. We publish a historical magazine and would love to have the picture and any names or stories to go with it. If you have an extra copy you would like to share, please mail it to Joyce Friddle, 6507 N. State Hwy 109, Magazine, AR 72943. I will see that it is copied and either returned or donated to the Society, which ever you prefer. Thanks, Joyce

Joyce, I will gladly donate a picture and hope others can
help us identify all in the old photograph. Will get it in
the mail tomorrow. It's a fairly clear photo for the age.

I would love to have a copy of the picture, my great great grandfather taught at that school, I am not sure of the years. His name was William Williams. My grandmother and her brothers and sisters also went to school there.
