My wife has an old picture of her grandparents on their wedding day (Sept. 25, 1900). The groom is Edgar Brown
Cravens (E. B. Cravens); the bride
Loura Adelia
Towry. Pictured with them are another man and woman whose names we are unsure of. The order in the picture left to right is: E. B. Cravens,
Loura A. Towry, unknown man, unknown woman.
Although the unidentified man bears no noticeable family resemblance to E. B. Cravens, older family members think they are possibly:
(1) William J. Cravens (brother of groom) and his wife (
Flora Cotton?)
(2)Charles Felix
Cravens (brother of groom) and his wife (Dora
Stephens?)
or (3) persons named in a newspaper article in 1950 (golden wedding celebration) as having been attendants: Mrs. Jim
Rogers (of
Paris, AR) and
Luther Plunkett (of
Oklahoma).
We would like very much to identify these people but find it difficult since most everyone who would have known them has passed away. Does anyone have suggestions, or perhaps have another copy of this picture with individuals identified.
Thanks for any help.
