Surnames: hatwig, mertin, baumgartner, schwartz
ALL THESE FAMILIES CAME FROM GERMANY AROUND 1880 TO LOGAN CO. I HAVE SOME INFO BUT NEED MORE.

Have some limited information on Mertin families in Logan county. My grandparents were Fred and Eva (Kirchner)Mertin. Fred was born in 1894 and died in 1968. Eva was born in 1904 and died in 1985. Fred's parents were Ernest and Augustine Mertin who moved to Logan county in the 1880's I believe. Ernest died in 1909 and Augustine in 1935.

Surnames: Schwartz/Hatwig
Have additional information on the Schwartz/Hatwig families. My ggrandmother's 3rd husband was John A Schwartz b 1869.
