I am tring to find info on my gggrandmother Nan Pollard.
She married Bill Brown. Lived in Logan County and also possibly Oklahoma. Their children were Lela Arizona Brown Chancellor, Possibly a sister named Lizzy, brothers were Frank Brown, Oscar Mckinley(Kinley)Brown of Texas. Possibly another brother named Walter Brown.
These folks were said to have come from Red Oak, Oklahoma or moved To Talequah, Ok. Any kind of help would
be greatly appreciated. Also, Lela(my ggrandmother) had a son that she named Hoyt McAdoo Chancellor.Maybe after an Uncle or grandfather.

Do you have a Lela Gott Stanford in your family tree? My great grandfather Casper Curren aka Clarence Maurice Stanford's second wife was Lela Gott. They married in Oklahoma and had two sons. Lela Gott Stanford is not in my direct line; but her genealogy is of interest.

I don't have a Lela Gott, but have a Lela Arizona Pollard Brown, who was the daughter of Nan Pollard and Bill Brown.
My Stanford side is from my granny, who is still living and just turned 87. Her mother was a Stanford, and Maxwell.
She told me the other day, while she was in the hospital that she could remember her grandpa Stanford having a long red beard. He was married to Ida Maxwell and they for the most part live in Arkansas on Magazine Mountainl....Logan County.
Ida Maxwell had been from Seveir County Arkansas too.
My Grandmother has also mentioned her mothers sisters,
one was Zilly, Ola, and she said Jimmie had very red hair.

Thank you, Janie, for your prompt response. My maternal grandfather was Casper Curren (aka: Clarence Maurice) Stanford who married Myrtle Mae Madglin and later, Lela Gott. His parents were Henry Elvis Stanford and Mattie Ben Hicks and his grandparents were Alexander Washington Stanford and Mary Frances Grisham. The latter Stanfords were from Kentucky. Casper and his brother Fred worked for The Frisco RR and lived in Arkansas, Oklahoma, and probably Missouri. C.C. and Fred's sister was Zenia Belle. Does this connect with your Stanfords?
