Looking for the family of Joseph Franklin Green Born in Little River County Arkansas 1903. Joseph was listed as a
farmer on my fathers Birth certificate. Some of his siblings were George, Homer and Leon. I believe George moved from
DeQueen to Los Angeles and died there. Homer and Leon stayed in DeQueen Arkansas and lived their lives there and
died in the 1970s, Juanita (Green) Johnson (married to Charles Johnson) was one of my fathers cousins
and Muerle Powell (married to Elbert Powell) was my grandmothers sister. I have had no response from either via snail mail
Joseph Green was married to Willie Bell/e Rackley in 1924-25 + - a few years. Joseph died around 1930 +- a few years.
(Willie Belle later married Arvin Carl Killough and they lived in Arkansas and later in Wilmington, Ca.), Joseph Franklin
and Willie Belle (Rackley) Green's son was William Franklin Green (my father) and was born in May of 1926,
Joseph died when William was four years old. William Franklin Green went to school in DeQueen and graduated from
DeQueen High school in 43/44. He went to Wilmington California in the early 1940s, and lived in Compton Ca.,
and Long Beach, Ca. until 1979 when he died.
Any help with finding out who Joseph’s parents were or any existing family anywhere would be greatly
appreciated. I have movies on video to share with my relatives. I have a lot of film footage from the area in the 30s, 40s, 50;s, 60s. Would sure like to connect with my Green relatives and share this
It's as if my grandfather materialized out of thin air in 1903 in Little River county. I'm frustrated. I think I've
communicated with every Green and Green relative on the planet using the Internet. One gentleman in Texas mentioned
that I had to be a part of the Green family that is spread all over that particular region of Arkansas. I'm at a loss to
discover any info on his people, afterall it's a sure thing he was born there with his brothers and I have 8mm films with
all of his brothers showing their mugs to the photographer (my father), but trying to find someone who knows them
seems to be impossible. I may have to travel to Arkansas to research this family, but since I'm a disabled vet and have
meager resources to do that I don't see that happening any time soon. I just want to leave my children with some sense
of where they came from and who there people were.
I'm desperate to find this family and would appreciate any info that any one would be so kind as to send me.
