Re: Looking for my uncle's grave
I have a John William Kennedy in my family. He was my great-great grandfather. I don't know the name of my great-grandfather's mom but my great-grandfather's youngest brother mentioned her last name as Duck on his Social Security application. My great-grandfather was born about 1886. So his dad was probably born in the 1850's or 1860's. I haven't looked at my info in a long time but if you do end up tying into us then it's researched waaay back into the 1770's.
Did your grandmother spend any time in OK or TN that you know of? The John William Kennedy I come from traveled into Arkansas and Oklahoma some. He was born in TN though. I "think" Henderson county but my mind may be confusing him with someone else.
