Thanks for your help...I wish it was easier to track down information on the "Guess" name but as you said there are many many ppl who say they are related and many different versions of his family tree. Seems almost hopeless, but I am determined to get a connection for them one way or the other. Someone told me to check with the Mormons they have a lot of records. Do you know anything about this?
