My records have a Jasper Rudolph Chastain (1885-1974) whose father was Mortimer
Chastain of Cobb Co., GA. His lineage traces through Joseph (1802), Elijah
(1776), John (1743) and Peter (1708) to the immigrant Pierre Chastain (1662) who
came to Prince William Co., VA, where he died in 1728. I have a little more
info on that lineage if you wish.
